Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States concludes tonight with a match against Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side are yet to click into gear after Stateside defeats to AC Milan and Barcelona, as they await the return of the likes of Jude Bellingham.
The same can be said of Chelsea, who are struggling to find their feet under new manager Enzo Maresca and were well beaten by Manchester City last time out.
Unlike Chelsea’s previous friendlies, this evening’s match will not be broadcast on the club’s own media channel.
Real Madrid face Chelsea in the last game of the 2024 pre-season stage, this time the match will be played in Charlotte. Key players like Bellingham, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Mendy or Mbappe are still out, so this game will give the youngsters another chance to start.
Real Madrid predicted XI: Courtois, Lucas Vázquez, Militao, Rüdiger, Fran García, Güler, Mario Martín, Modric, Vinicius, Rodrygo, Endrick.
Chelsea predicted XI: Jorgensen, Malo Gusto, Badiashile, Fofana, Reece James, Caicedo, Dewsbury-Hall, Lavia, Mudryk, Nkunku, Madueke.
Güler is expected to start, while Ancelotti will likely deploy the Brazilian trio of Endrick, Vinicius and Rodrygo to lead the offense.
