Ipswich will continue their nightmare schedule at the beginning of the new Premier League campaign.
After a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on the opening day, the newly-promoted outfit are set to face the reigning champions Manchester City on Saturday in Gameweek No 2.
The Tractor Boys provided two opposite faces in the first round of the season. They looked great in the first half, keeping hold of Liverpool’s stars in a goalless section before the half-time break.
The story was completely different in the second half as Liverpool created loads in the final third. Ipswich were eventually lucky to have conceded only twice on the occasion.
Manchester City survived the opening round’s trip to the capital. They saw off Chelsea 2-0 with goals from Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic.
It is worth noting that new addition Savinho got injured. Phil Foden came on as a second-half substitute.
Manchester City vs Ipswich Prediction
The gulf in quality between these two teams is enormous and we can hardly bet on anything other than Man City’s comprehensive victory here.
The Citizens notched at least two goals in five of the last six matches across competitions.
They are now up against one of the weakest top-flight sides on the home patch. Ipswich’s back line looked troublesome in the second half of the opening round’s clash against Liverpool.
