Inter started the season with a disappointing 2-2 stalemate at Genoa but they quickly responded via a couple of comprehensive clean-sheet home wins.
The Nerazzurri dispatched Lecce and Atalanta in the previous two rounds to jump straight to the very top of the Serie A standings.
The reigning champions were especially impressive in the previous round, destroying Atalanta 4-0 in front of the home crowd at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Marcus Thuram was particularly inspired by completing a brace on the occasion. The French forward now has four goals to his name in three league games and he currently tops the division’s goal-scoring charts.
Inter Milan will have a nice chance to extend the fine run on Sunday evening. They travel to nearby U-Power Stadium to tackle Monza in Matchday No 4.
This is a proper mismatch considering Monza’s form as the hosts are winless in three inaugural outings of the season.
They will come into the tie off the back of a 2-2 draw at Fiorentina but it is worth noting that Alessandro Nesta’s troops had failed to find the back of the net in the initial two matches against the likes of Empoli and Genoa.
