The last four meetings between Fenerbahce and Man Utd have gone the way of the home side on the night

FENERBAHCE and Manchester United have had some great tussles in Europe before and on Thursday, they will meet again in the Europa League.

It’s a tricky one for the Red Devils on the road, and here we look ahead to the game on Thursday, October 24th from the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Spor Kompleksi.

The bookmakers have priced this one up in expectancy of it being a tight match. Home side Fenerbahce, who are managed by Jose Mourinho, are a 2/1 quote to pick up a victory, with Manchester United at 13/10 odds. Fenerbahce will kick off two points clear of the Red Devils in the current Europa League standings.

The last four meetings between Fenerbahce and Man Utd have gone the way of the home side on the night. From the six previous meetings the honours are even with three wins each, and both teams scored in half of those.

This will be the first clash between the clubs since their 2016 European League group stage, with Fenerbahce winning 2-1 at home.

Manchester United have been lacking a presence up front this season. Rasmus Hojlund always puts in a good working shift and he is the pick of the options for United going forward. It hasn’t been a prolific season by the Norwegian, but a winning goal against Brentford in the league on the weekend will have helped his confidence.

Former Manchester City striker Edin Dezko is the joint top scorer for Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce this season. He has to be pushing for a starting role in the side as his physical presence could cause the Manchester United backline some problems. Look for Dusan Tadic too, who has had an eye for goal this term from midfield.
