PSG and Tottenham will contest the 2025 Super Cup Final

Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur will contest the 2025 UEFA Super Cup Final at the Stadio Friuli on Wednesday night.
PSG finally won the Champions League for the first time in their history earlier this summer, dishing out a 5-0 mauling to Inter Milan in the final.
However, Luis Enrique’s side were unable to follow up on that success at the new-look Club World Cup, losing 3-0 to Chelsea in the final.
In fact, Wednesday night’s Super Cup final will mark PSG’s first outing since losing out to the Blues in New Jersey last month.
As for Tottenham, they ended their 17-year wait for silverware by edging out Manchester United 1-0 in last season’s Europa League final.
That triumph wasn’t enough to save Ange Postecoglou’s job though, with Thomas Frank the man chosen to usher in a new era at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Somewhat surprisingly, PSG and Tottenham will cross paths for the first time ever on Wednesday night. The Parisians can draw confidence from the fact they toppled four Premier League teams en route to Champions League glory last term.
After scoring two goals and setting up another in last season’s Champions League final, PSG’s Desire Doue looks well worthy of support to register another goal involvement on Wednesday night at 5/6 on PaddyPower.
Brennan Johnson was the Tottenham hero in last season’s Europa League final, netting the only goal of the game. The Welsh forward is as big as 7/2 on Boylesports to make the net bulge at the Stadio Friuli this midweek.
Predicted line-ups
There has been intense speculation in recent weeks regarding the future of PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is not expected to feature on Wednesday night.
Tottenham will be unable to call upon the services of long-term injury victims Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Radu Dragusin.
PSG: Chevalier; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia.
Tottenham: Vicario; Pedro Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Bentancur, Palhinha, Sarr; Johnson, Solanke, Kudus.
