Napoli have managed just one win in the previous seven outings in all competitions. Roma suffered only one loss in their last seven affairs across competitions.

Three of Roma’s previous four league fixtures ended with fewer than two goals scored.

Napoli host Roma in one of the most interesting games of Matchday No 34 on Sunday afternoon at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Both outfits are hoping to bounce back from last weekend’s defeats.

Napoli have been in a particularly poor form. They won just one of the last seven outings across competitions.

The latest of Napoli’s slip-ups came eight days ago in a 0-1 road loss to Empoli. The Partinopei got off to a wrong-footed start and they never managed to recover. The second-half display was somewhat better but still not enough for a positive result at Stadio Carlo Castellani.

Roma ended their strong spell of form with a 1-3 home loss to direct Champions League rivals Bologna on Monday. The Lupa are now seven points shy of Bologna in 4th place. They are also just one point above Atalanta in 6th, meaning there is no room for an error in the battle for the Champions League spots.

Recent Meetings
Roma ended a run of seven consecutive winless affairs against Napoli by picking up a 2-0 victory in this season’s match at Stadio Olimpico.

Napoli had earlier managed a streak of five victories and two draws in seven clashes with The Lupa. Only one of the previous six H2H encounters between these counterparts provided three or more goals.
