Liverpool will be out to get their Premier League title bid back on track

Liverpool will be out to get their Premier League title bid back on track when they play Fulham.

Arsenal’s 2-0 win against Wolves on Saturday saw the Gunners returned to the top of the table but Liverpool can move level on points with them with a win at Craven Cottage.

Liverpool desperately need a positive response after last weekend’s damaging 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace and then their Europa League exit on Thursday.

Fulham have little to play for but they have beaten Arsenal and Tottenham at Craven Cottage this season, and could prove tricky opponents.

Liverpool can’t afford to slip up again or the title will be entirely out of reach. They should have too much quality for an inconsistent Fulham side.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their past five Premier League games at Craven Cottage, winning three and drawing two.

The Cottagers have triumphed only once in 13 previous meetings with the Reds in all competitions, drawing three and losing nine.

The reverse fixture finished 4-3 to Liverpool after an 88th-minute winner from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
