Juventus’ Coppa Italia run begins against one of the many clubs in which they have a draw against in Serie A

Juventus will look to Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz for a Coppa Italia game against Cagliari this evening, while Weston McKennie and Manuel Locatelli will play in defence.

The Old Lady’s boss, Thiago Motta, will partially rotate his squad and will probably start McKennie and Locatelli in defence.

According to Gazzetta and Sky Sport, the American midfielder will be Juventus’ left-back against Cagliari, while Locatelli will play in central defence.

Teun Koopmeiners will drop into central midfield, allowing Yildiz to move to an attacking midfielder role, with Vlahovic starting as a lone striker.

The latter argued with Juventus fans in Curva Sud on Saturday but tried to clear the air a few hours later with a social media post.

Cagliari are without Jakub Jankto, Adam Obert and Zito Luvumbo. The winner will face Empoli in the quarter-finals in February 2025.

Juventus (4-2-3-1): Perin; Savona, Locatelli, Kalulu, McKennie; Koopmeiners, Thuram; Conceicao, Yildiz, Mbangula; Vlahovic.

Cagliari: (4-4-1-1): Scuffet; Zappa, Palomino, Wieteska, Augello; Felici, Marin, Prati, Deiola; Gaetano; Lapadula.
