Juventus will look to tighten their grip on top spot in Group G at the Club World Cup by overcoming Wydad AC on Sunday evening.
The Old Lady produced arguably the standout performance of the competition so far with a 5-0 thrashing of Al Ain on Thursday.
That victory has sent Igor Tudor’s team to the summit of the section, where they currently sit above star-studded Man City.
Seeking to strengthen their position at the top of Group G, Juventus will expect to put another three points on the board at the expense of Wydad AC.
The Moroccan powerhouses failed to get off the mark at the first attempt, falling to a 2-0 defeat to Man City at this venue on Wednesday evening.
Consequently, Amine Benhachem’s side will have to win at least one if not both of their remaining group games if they are to avoid an early exit from the competition.
Head to head: History book blank
Juventus and Wydad AC will face off for the first time ever on Sunday evening. Somewhat surprisingly, this is Juventus’ maiden appearance at the Club World Cup, while Wydad are gracing this stage for the third time in their history.
Predicted line-ups
After watching his side produce a near-flawless performance on matchday one, Juventus boss Tudor could stick with the same starting XI on Sunday evening.
Mohamed Rayhi could be recalled having sat out Wydad’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City. The Dutch forward hit 11 goals across his 26 appearances in the Moroccan top-flight this term.
Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Rugani, Kelly; Gonzalez, Thuram, McKennie, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Yildiz; Kolo Muani.
Wydad AC: El Motie; Moufi, Meijers, Harkass, Boucheta; Malsa, Moubarik; Amrabat, Arthur, Rayhi; Obeng.
