Germany will hope to build on their strong start to the UEFA Nations League on Friday evening as they face Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zenica.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side will fancy their chances of getting the three points against Bosnia and Herzegovina, who have endured a difficult start to their Nations League campaign. But Germany will be without several key players on Friday, which could boost Bosnia’s hopes of pulling off an upset.
The likes of Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Marc-André ter Stegen, Niclas Füllkrug, and David Raum are all sidelined for Germany. This could present the opportunity for Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst to play from the start and make his Germany debut.
Alexander Nübel is set to start in goal for Germany, while Pascal Groß is expected to line up in midfield alongside Robert Andrich. In attack, Florian Wirtz will likely be joined by the in-form Deniz Undav.
Bosnia haven’t won a game since October 2023, but have a number of talented players in their squad. Veteran striker Edin Dzeko will be leading the line, with former Schalke 04 full-back Sead Kolasinac also expected to play from the start. VfB Stuttgart’s Ermedin Demirović will also hope to cause problems to the Germany defenders.
Germany: Nübel – Kimmich, Tah, Rüdiger, Mittelstädt – Andrich, Groß – Gnabry, Undav, Wirtz – Kleindienst.
