Midfielder Piotr Zielinski will get his first minutes on the pitch for Inter Milan in tomorrow’s friendly match against Pergolettese.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Tomorrow, Inter will play their second friendly match of preseason.
The Nerazzurri have already played one friendly match this summer. That came against Lugano, who are the Nerazzurri’s traditional first friendly opponent of the preseason period.
And tomorrow, it will be the turn of Pergolettese. Naturally, the purpose of the match will simply be to get players in Inter’s squad out on the pitch.
The team have now been in training for a week. That is with the big caveat that many players who had been on international duty at the Euros or the Copa America are still missing.
The purpose of training so far has mainly been to build up physical condition. However, there is already a pivot to start working on match fitness.
One player who has joined up with the Inter squad in the last couple days was midfielder Zielinski.
The Polish international is now a Nerazzurri player officially, as of the start of this month. Zielinski joined Inter on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract with Napoli.
The 30-year-old midfielder has only spent a couple of days in Inter training thus far. He arrived at the end of last week.
