Inter will look to close the gap with league leaders Napoli when they host Parma

Inter will look to close the gap with league leaders Napoli when they host Parma in their next Serie A game on Friday.

The Nerazzurri saw their last match suspended midway through the first half due to Parma midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsing on the pitch. They are currently on a 12-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.

Parma, on the other hand, earned a hard-fought 3-1 victory over top 4 contenders Lazio in their last Serie A match, which meant they had won two of their last three league games.

Inter Milan will come into this game with a nearly full-strength squad with their only confirmed absentees being Benjamin Pavard and Raffaele Di Gennaro who are sidelined with injuries.

Lautaro Martinez along with Marcus Thuram should form Inter Milan’s frontline once again with the duo in scintillating form ahead of this game.

Inter Milan predicted XI (3-5-2, right to left): Sommer (GK) — Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni — Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco — Thuram, Martinez.

Parma come into this game without Gabriel Charpentier, who suffered an Achilles Tendon rupture in their win over Lazio. Additionally, they will also be without Adrian Bernabe and Yordan Osorio.

Young prospect Anas Haj Mohamed could once again start in midfield after impressing in his recent performances for Parma.

Parma predicted XI (4-2-3-1, right to left): Suzuki (GK) — Coulibaly, Del Prato, Balogh, Valeri — Keita, Sohm — Man, Haj Mohamed, Cancellieri — Bonny.

Parma has been a tricky opponent in the past for Inter Milan, as they are undefeated against the Nerazzurri in San Siro since 2013 (four draws and one win).

While Inter Milan have shown vulnerability at times this season, they should overcome an organised Parma side to continue their unbeaten streak.
