Inter will begin their bid to regain the Serie A title when they take on Torino at the San Siro

Inter Milan will begin their bid to regain the Serie A title when they take on Torino at the San Siro on Monday night.
After winning their 20th Scudetto in season 2024-25, Inter surrendered their crown to Napoli last term.
The Nerazzurri also suffered Champion League heartbreak last season after finding themselves on the wrong end of a 5-0 thrashing from PSG in the final.
Manager Simone Inzaghi has since swapped the San Siro for Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, with Cristian Chivu chosen to usher in a new era for the Milan giants.
As for Torino, they finished in the comfort of midtable last season, placing 11th in the final Serie A standings.
The Turin outfit will also be under new management this term, with Marco Baroni replacing Paolo Vanoli during the close season.
Head to head: Inter in control
Historically, Inter Milan have dominated this fixture, winning 24 of the overall 38 meetings between the pair, including each of the last six encounters in Serie A.
Predicted line-ups
Hakan Calhanoglu will miss out for Inter on Monday night due to suspension while both Carlos Augusto and Davide Frattesi are rated as doubtful.
New Torino boss Baroni will be unable to call upon the services of injured trio Alieu Njie, Ardian Ismajli and Perr Schuurs at the San Siro on Monday night.
