Genoa and Roma pulled off disappointing showings before the international break

Roma desperately needed a break after a slow start to the 2024/25 Serie A campaign. The Lupa are winless after three rounds, a run that includes a 1-2 home loss to Empoli.

Danielle De Rossi’s men offered another underwhelming display in a goalless stalemate at Juventus in the previous round.

They delivered just a single short on target in the 90 minutes of action in Turin. The former midfielder is now under a huge pressure of getting a result against Genoa on Sunday afternoon in Matchday No 4.

Genoa will also enter the contest on a low, following a 0-2 home defeat at the hands of Hellas Verona.

It was an open game with plenty of opportunities on both ends but we must underline that Genoa managed no more than a single shot on goal on the occasion.

Genoa vs Roma Prediction
Both teams pulled off disappointing showings before the international break and we will not touch the match winner market here.

Roma are the bookies’ favourites but we must not forget that they won only 6 of 19 league fixtures away from home in the previous term of the Serie A.

Instead, we will put the focus on the Under 2.5 goals FT pick at the odds of 1.66. There is a lot to like about this betting option.

None of Genoa’s last two league outings provided three or more goals. Also, Roma have already played two goalless draws in the opening three rounds of the season.
