Eintracht Frankfurt will welcome a struggling Borussia Dortmund to their fortress

A high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt will welcome a struggling Borussia Dortmund to their fortress for their 18th Bundesliga fixture of the season. Frankfurt are off to one of the best starts in the German top flight and have been a dominant force so far.

They have managed to remain undefeated in seven of their eight home games so far and will look to continue the same come Sunday. The Eagles are placed third in the standings with 33 points in 17 games.

Borussia Dortmund on the contrary are experiencing one of the worst league campaigns. Things have gone from bad to worse for the eight-time champions. They are seeking a revival and it has to come now or things can go downhill.

The Prussians have not had one of the best away forms in the league having faced four defeats already on the road. They come into this game on the back of two defeats, including a 4-2 defeat against relegation prone Holstein Kiel.

This fixture averages three goals per game. The last time Eintracht Frankfurt defeated Borussia Dortmund was back in 2021. Dortmund have scored 22 goals in their last seven meetings against Frankfurt.

Aurele Amenda is set to miss the game for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Meanwhile, Dortmund will come into this game without the services of Niklas Sule while Filippo Mane remains doubtful.

The hosts have enjoyed a better run of form this season while Dortmund are struggling to find their form.
