Dortmund will travel to Catalonia to face the Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the first leg of the Quarter-Final in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalonia-based team has been one of the best-performing teams in Europe this season. They are the favourites to win this fixture as well.
Under the guidance of Hansi Flick, they have improved drastically and have shown their quality on the pitch. Barcelona’s attacking playing style has created a lot of trouble for the opposition team. Surely, they will look to take advantage of the home leg.
Earlier, they defeated Dortmund at their own home ground by 2-3. Now, they will look to do the same on Thursday. On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund‘s season has been full of ups and downs as they replaced Nuri Sahin with Nico Kovac as their manager.
Under Kovac, they started to perform much better, and now they are a different team. Even though their performance in the Bundesliga is not that good, they have performed quite well in the Champions League. They will look to take revenge for their last defeat, which they suffered against the Catalan team this season.
The Yellow Army do have the quality to get results away from home. But surely they will have to be at their best to get a positive result. This will be a mouthwatering clash.
Marc Casado and Dani Olmo are injured for the home side, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Andreas Christensen have started training with the team. The rest of the players are fit to play.
Marcel Sabitzer and Sule are injured and will not be available for selection. The rest of the players are fit to play.
