Both Verona and Juventus looked fabulous on the opening day

They stunned Napoli 3-0 eight days ago at Stadio MarcAntonio Bentegodi. Substitute Daniel Mosquera starred with a late brace as Verona notched all three goals in the second half.

Verona thus ruined Antonio Conte’s debut on Napoli’s bench. Can they do the same to Thiago Motta just eight days later?

Motta did get off to a terrific start to his reign in Turin, though. They demolished newly-promoted Como 3-0 seven days ago at Allianz Stadium.

Juve completely controlled the game from the first to the final whistle, allowing the counterparts just a single shot in the 90 minutes of action.

Samuel Mbangula, Timothy Weah, and Andrea Cambiaso were on target for Thiago Motta’s men.

We have to particularly praise Mbangula’s display as he looked fantastic in the No 10 role on the occasion.

Verona vs Juventus Prediction
Both Verona and Juventus looked fabulous on the opening day. However, we must rate Juventus’ chances of producing once again higher.

Verona did not impress two weeks ago in Coppa Italia, falling 1-2 at home to lower-division Cesena.

They have also conceded loads of shots in the 3-0 win over Napoli. Juventus’ in-form attackers will surely get plenty of room to deliver once again after putting three goals past Como last weekend.

Juventus also have tradition to back them up. They won four and drew one of the previous five encounters with Verona.
