RB Leipzig enjoy home advantage when Xabi Alonso’s men swing by this coming Saturday for a clash in the Bundesliga. Both Leipzig and Leverkusen aim to show their respective set of fans they are a better side on Saturday. Leipzig have seen it all in their last three fixtures.
First, they went down 2-1 against VfB Stuttgart, before picking up a 3-3 draw against Bochum. In their last fixture, they beat Sporting CP in the Champions League 2-1. Attacking wise they are looking really good and surely they will test the Leverkusen’s defence.
While Bayer Leverkusen are chasing the top spot in the Bundesliga after collecting 41 points in 18 fixtures, Leipzig have 31 points on board and are currently fifth in the points table. Leverkusen did lose their last fixture against Atletico Madrid away from home in UCL and it ended their winning streak.
Xabi Alonso’s men will be looking to bounce back from that defeat and will continue their hunt for the league title. This upcoming fixture will be a mouthwatering clash for sure.
Sesko is an amazing athlete with an elite range of movement and flexibility which enables him to exploit the opposition’s defence very well. Finishing wise Sesko is strong on both feet. He has a great shooting technique and when he has the chance to volley the ball, he is patient in waiting for it to drop perfectly.
His in-the-box movements is largely down to his good spatial awareness in the box. Sesko’s positional defence is brilliant and he is a perfect poacher who does need many opportunities to score goals. He will drift wide to run into the open space down the channels. In 17 Bundesliga games, he has scored eight goals and provided two assists.
He is known for his exciting playing style and amazing speed. His skills make him an even better player on the pitch. Frimpong can handle tight spots well and send great crosses into the box. He is confident when facing defenders alone, using his quick feet and strong dribbling to create chances for himself and his teammates.
Besides his speed, his work ethic also makes him special and he puts effort in both attack and defence. The Dutchman’s playing style is very similar to Dani Alves, his crossing ability also helps his teammates to create scoring chances. In 18 games, he has scored two goals and provided four assists.
For RB Leipzig, Xaver Schlager, Castello Lukeba, and Andre Silva will not be available due to injuries. Benjamin Henrichs and Martin Terrier are out for the rest of the season.
For Leverkusen, Jeanuel Belocian is out due to a ligament injury. The rest of the players are fit to play.
