Aston Villa have three wins and a draw in the last matches against Ipswich

Aston Villa completed another Premier League comeback last Saturday, beating Wolves 3-1 in front of the home fans at Villa Park.

Ollie Watkins, Ezri Konsa, and Jhon Duran were the goal-scorers. The Lions thus celebrated their fourth win in five Premier League matches.

They backed it up with another success on Tuesday night, beating Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 on the road in the third round of the League Cup.

It was the fifth consecutive win in all competitions for Unai Emery’s men. They will be looking to keep the hot run of form going this weekend.

Villa travel to Portman Road to take on newly-promoted Ipswich Town in Matchday No 6 on Sunday afternoon.

Ipswich managed their third consecutive draw last Saturday. Sam Morsy was their hero as his equalizer came in the fifth minute of added time of the away tie against Southampton.

Ipswich hold the 17th place in the Premier League standings and they are yet to celebrate their maiden win in the top flight of English football this season.

The Tractor Boys are struggling to create in the final third. They’ve managed just three goals in the maiden five rounds of the competition.

The same can’t be said for Villa who bagged two or more goals in each of the previous five fixtures in all competitions.

The Lions also notched at least three goals in all but one of the previous four fixtures across competitions.
