Arsenal and Tottenham will go to battle in new surroundings in what promises to be a highlight of pre-season in Hong Kong between the North London rivals.
Marquee signing Viktor Gyokeres could make his highly-anticipated debut for the Gunners as Mikel Arteta’s side look to produce a title challenge.
While billed as a friendly, the first-ever pre-season North London derby to take place outside the UK also brings a chance at early bragging rights, with Thomas Frank looking to lay down a marker in a new era at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Another new arrival in Chrithian Mosquera could feature for the first time, with Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga adding to a newlook Gunners outfit.
Spurs, meanwhile, will hope to get back to winning ways after emerging victorious in neither of their two games on Saturday – fielding two separate XIs that drew with both Wycombe and Luton Town.
Gyokeres is in line for his first appearance in Arsenal colours after being presented to fans following their 3-2 win over Newcastle.
Mosquera could also make his debut after not being deemed ready to face the Magpies.
Riccardo Califiori is a doubt after sustaining a knock last time out.
Both teams are unbeaten so far in their respective warm-up matches, with Arsenal defeating AC Milan and Newcastle since they arrived on the continent.
Spurs, meanwhile, beat Reading in Frank’s first game, before a double-header against Wycombe and Luton Town, where two different sides drew 2-2 and 0-0 respectively.
There could be a couple of high-profile debutants on display for the Gunners.
Big-money signing Viktor Gyokeres trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Tuesday, and Mikel Arteta has since confirmed that the £64m man will be afforded his first minutes.
The same can be said of Spanish centre-back Cristhian Mosquera, who was signed from Valencia earlier this month. Mosquera joined the squad in Singapore but did not feature in the Gunners’ narrow 3-2 win over Newcastle at the National Stadium on Sunday. He should get a run out in Hong Kong.
On the injury front, there is a concern for Riccardo Calafiori, who was withdrawn injured against Newcastle. Mikel Arteta hopes that the Italian has avoided a serious problem but he will not feature against Spurs. Arsenal will also be without long-term absentee Gabriel Jesus, as well as Gabriel and Jurrien Timber.
Spurs have nine current injury cases. There are those that have been out for a while, like Radu Dragusin and Dejan Kulusevski, while James Maddison and Dominic Solanke could be touch-and-go for inclusion here, with Maddison coming back from a knee injury, and Solanke suffering with an ankle issue.
