Arsenal have won six of their last eight games

The club from “St. Mary’s” has become something of an “elevator” between divisions. They were in the Championship in 2023/2024, and after immediately returning to the Premier League, found themselves among the weakest. This season started poorly, but after appointing Tonda Eckert, the players started winning frequently and are clearly targeting a play-off spot. Before the break, they claimed another victory over Oxford.

The capital’s giants are having an excellent season. March ended with a League Cup final against Manchester City, which they lost 0-2. However, in the Premier League, they are leading the title race against the same team. In the Champions League, their only failure was away at Bayer Leverkusen, but they beat the Germans 2-0 at home in the return leg of the Round of 16.

The hosts have won three matches by a single goal margin. Against Doncaster, it was 3-2 away, then they managed a 2-1 home win over Leicester. Versus Fulham, they scored the only goal from the penalty spot in stoppage time. The London stars scored four times against both Portsmouth and Wigan, but only managed a 2-1 win over Mansfield.

Previous matches: Southampton vs Arsenal

Last season, both encounters were won by Arteta’s side.

The visitors are clear favorites, but the tournament is not a priority for them. Here, we recommend backing the hosts with a “+2.0 goals” handicap (odds – 1.60).
