Arsenal have only lost one of their last 14 Premier League matches

Arsenal will continue their title quest on Sunday afternoon. Bitter city rivals Tottenham stand in their way as the two sides lock horns in the new edition of a North London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arsenal are flying high after a 5-0 thumping of Chelsea on Tuesday. Spurs suffered a catastrophic 0-4 defeat at Newcastle in their previous Premier League action. Each of the last two games Tottenham played saw four or more goals scored.

Arsenal will go into this in the highest spirits possible. They demolished another city rival Chelsea 5-0 on Tuesday evening in the postponed game of Matchday No 29. Kai Havertz and Ben White stole the show with a brace each while Martin Odegaard offered a sensational performance with two assists at Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham have not been in action at all since the painful 0-4 defeat at Newcastle two weeks ago. Head coach Ange Postecoglou had two weeks to prepare his lads for a big game that could make a huge impact on team’s top-four ambitions.

Spurs are six points shy of Aston Villa in 4th place. They have two games in hand and no room for mistake if they want to play the Champions League football next season.

Recent Meetings
The home court advantage played a big role in the recent history of North London derbies. Seven of the last nine H2H meetings between these fierce rivals ended in home wins.

The outfits shared spoils in a 2-2 stalemate in this season’s clash in September last year at Emirates Stadium.
Three or more goals were scored in four of the previous five head-to-head matches.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Prediction
Arsenal enter the tie in much higher spirits. They showed strength in the 5-0 drubbing of Chelsea in mid-week. The Gunners own by far the best defensive record in the division. Spurs’ attack did not look great in the 0-4 defeat at Newcastle two weeks ago.

The visitors can’t afford a slip-up in these circumstances. Arsenal also have two wins and a draw in the previous three H2H clashes with Spurs.

Mikel Arteta has clearly found the recipe for his team’s bitter North London rivals in the last couple of years.

On current form, we can hardly imagine Arsenal dropping the ball here. The away win pick is the main betting option at the odds of 1.75.
