Arsenal are hoping to get off to a bright start today

Arsenal pushed the title race to the final day last season but they once again had to succumb to Manchester City’s dominance.

The Gunners ended as runners-up for the second year running. Can they go all the way and lift the title this time around?

There is a long way until May but Arsenal are hoping to get off to a bright start. They play host to Wolves in the first round of the season on Saturday afternoon at Emirates Stadium.

Wolves have not changed their squad much from the last year but they do look weaker without two first-team regulars.

Pedro Neto departed for Chelsea while Max Kilman made a move to West Ham United. Their absences were felt in the pre-season as Wolves did not shine in the latest outings.

This will be the music to the ears of Mikel Arteta whose Arsenal enter the new campaign oj a high after recent wins in pre-season tests.

Arsenal vs Wolves Prediction
Arsenal demolished Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 in the last friendly before beating Lyon 2-0 last weekend in the Emirates Cup trophy clash.

William Saliba and Gabriel were on target for the Gunners who made the difference in the first half of the affair while keeping a clean sheet in the process.

Wolves fell 1-3 to Palace and 0-1 to Rayo Vallecano in two of their last three exhibitions. They will also enter this off the back of six straight defeats in head-to-head meetings with Arsenal.

We will back the hosts to win both halves at the 2.25 odds while the value is there with Bukayo Saka to score anytime at the 2.20 odds as well.

Saka should start on the left wing for the Gunners. He is their penalty-taker as well as we like these odds offered for him to score anytime in what is expected to be a drubbing of Wolves at Emirates Stadium.
