Al Nassr are all set to lock horns with UAE Pro League club Al Wasl in their upcoming AFC Champions League 2024-25 fixture at home on February 3.
Stefano Pioli’s men will be aiming for that top spot in the ACL. They are currently in the third sport and will only be able to reach the second even after securing three points because of goal difference. Al Wasl are in the fifth spot at the moment.
Al Nassr will be confident at home as they are on a positive run. They have won their last three Saudi Pro League outings in a row and will be looking to continue their form.
But last time around in the AFC Champions League they faced a defeat against Al Sadd. Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. will not be looking to repeat the same mistakes when they go up against Al Wasl in their next ACL match.
Al Wasl are also not having the best of the seasons as they are struggling in the UAE Pro League this season. They have been able to win only four matches out of the 14 played so far. They are in decent form when the AFC Champions League Elite is considered. They have won three matches in six games in the ACL and with a win can jump up to the third spot in the Group B standings.
Turning 40 in the coming days, Cristiano Ronaldo is going strong and continues to be an important player for Al Nassr. In his last match for the Saudi Pro League giants, CR7 scored a goal and also came up with an assist. This contribution from the Portuguese talisman led his side to an important victory. Ronaldo has scored four goals in AFC Champions League’s current edition.
Fabio Lima has scored a couple of goals in five AFC Champions League Elite matches for Al Wasl so far. The midfielder will be looking to take control of the midfield areas while also contributing to the attacking third of his team. Fabio Lima can prove to be a crucial game-changer for his side as he can solely be very impactful on the pitch.
