Both teams are coming into this tie after impressive victories in the last match

Both teams are coming into this tie after impressive victories in the last match. Al Taawoun who sit eight at the table are set to welcome Al Nassr on Friday. This clash is set to take place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in round 15 of the Saudi Pro League.

Al Taawoun pulled a massive win in the last match as they hammered Al Qadsiah with a 3-0 scoreline. A brace from Musa Barrow and a header from Waleed Al-Ahmed was enough to seal the tie.

Rodolfo Arruabarrena’s side are languishing in eighth position in the standings and now face an in-form Al Nassr. It was an impressive comeback from them to return to winning ways after suffering a defeat against the same opponent in King’s Cup.

Al Nassr on the other hand, bounced back to winning ways registering a 3-1 win over Al Okhdood. Currently languishing in third spot, Stefano Pioli’s side trail by nine points behind league leaders Al Hilal. It has been a mixed campaign for them so far as they have failed to consistently pull the victories on the road.

The problem for them this season has been their inability to win matches early as they have dropped many points from winning positions.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in magnificent form for Al Nassr this season. The player has continued his goalscoring streak against Al Okhdood in the last match. The veteran forward has already scored 11 goals from 13 matches and doesn’t show any sign of slowing down. He has scored five goals in his last four matches finding the net in all of them.

Al Taawoun pulled an impressive 3-0 victory over Al Qadsiah in the previous league game. Al Nassr secured a 3-1 victory over Al Okhdood in the previous game. Al Taawoun and Al Nassr have not drawn any of their last 20 matches.

Al Taawoun have two injury concerns in their squad. Rakan Al-Tulayhi is back in training after a long injury with Mohammed Marzouq being the other possible doubt for this clash.

Meanwhile, Al Nassr will be without midfielder Abdullah Alkhaibari for this clash due to a muscle injury and will be joined on the sidelines by Sami Al-Najei.
