Serie A will host their 13th matchday of the 2024-25 season and it will feature two of the biggest Italian sides going up against each other.
League leaders Napoli will host AS Roma at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona stadium. After being in poor form for the entirety of the 2023-24 season, the hosts seem to be back to their brilliant best as they emerge as the title contenders.
The Blues have 26 points so far in the ongoing league campaign. With eight wins, two draws and two losses to their name, Napoli are just one point clear at the top.
AS Roma on the other hand can only describe their season so far as underwhelming. The Wolves have already sacked two managers this season to turn around their fortunes but still find themselves in the 12th spot. They only have 13 points in the ongoing league campaign after 12 games played and only sit four points above the relegation zone.
This will be Roma’s first game under the tutelage of Claudio Ranieri. A win will be the only satisfactory result for the visitors but considering the form of their opponents, it will be an uphill battle.
Antonio Conte has somehow restored the Georgian international’s lost confidence this season. He is again performing at a very high level and is currently the top scorer of Napoli with five goals in the league.
He has completely dominated the left flank in almost all of the matches he has played, and AS Roma should have a very hard time keeping him out of the game.
Napoli are not suffering from any new injury concerns and will have their full squad available for selection. This will give Antonio Conte an upper hand as he can field his strongest starting 11.
AS Roma on the other hand will be without the likes of Mario Hermoso, Alexis Saelemaekers, and most probably Paulo Dybala. Eldor Shomurodov is also sidelined due to a groin injury.
