It is the battle of the unbeaten sides as Galatasaray host Besiktas in a Monday night Super Lig fixture. While both teams have caught the eye lately, Galatasaray appear to be playing at a higher level and given their recent record in this fixture, a home win could be on the cards.
Galatasaray are enjoying a solid start to the season as they are yet to taste defeat across all competitions so far. They are five points clear at the top of the Super Lig having picked up eight wins from nine matches.
The goals have flowed freely for Galatasaray, who claimed a 3-0 victory at Antalyaspor last time out in the Super Lig before a 4-3 Europa League win over Elfsborg. However, the win over Elfsborg highlights a dodgy defensive record as Okan Buruk’s men have kept just one clean sheet in their last five home matches.
It has also been a fine start to the season for Besiktas, who are attempting to keep tabs on Galatasaray as they are also unbeaten in the Super Lig. However, Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men have played out a few draws so far and are currently five points off the pace.
Besiktas will head to RAMS Park off the back of two straight wins across all competitions. First they triumphed 2-0 over Konyaspor last time out in the Super Lig before claiming a 1-0 victory over Lyon in the Europa League.
