England have lost just 2 of the last 19 games across competitions

A place in the 2024 Euro final is on the line as the Netherlands face England in a mouth-watering semi-final encounter on Wednesday evening at BVB Arena in Dortmund.

Both outfits survived scares after conceding first in their respective quarter-final ties. Which team will prevail to reach the ultimate game on Sunday?

  • England have lost just 2 of the last 19 games across competitions.
  • Both teams scored in five of the last six head-to-head encounters between these rivals.
  • Netherlands conceded five goals so far in the tournament.
  • We’ve seen at least three goals in nine of Netherlands’ last ten matches across competitions.

Netherlands pulled off a second-half comeback on Saturday night via a couple of quickfire goals to get past Turkey.

Ronald Koeman’s men have shown many more weaknesses compared to their round-of-16 thumping of Romania, though.

England continued with their subpar performances in the quarter-final, edging past a brave Switzerland side on penalties four days ago.

Gareth Southgate is under a huge pressure due to poor displays from his star-studded squad that has still managed to find ways to get out of problems in the knockout phase so far.

Netherlands Team News

Ronald Koeman did not make changes to his starting lineup in either of two knockout-phase matches so far. While he has no issues with suspended or injured players, the former Barcelona boss may make some changes this time around, though.

Steven Bergwijn has not shown much as a starter on the right flank in either of the last two games. He could easily be replaced by Donyell Malen who bagged a brace in a 3-0 thumping of Romania in the round of 16.

Netherlands Predicted Lineup (4-3-3 Formation)

England Predicted Lineup (4-2-3-1)
