After netting 11 goals in their last two matches, Borussia Dortmund will look to produce another strong attacking display in Saturday’s meeting with Union Berlin.
After losing at Borussia-Park, Union are now set to return to the home comforts of the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, where they have won both of their matches this season. Union edged out St. Pauli by a 1-0 scoreline on matchday two, before they claimed a narrow 2-1 victory in their most recent home game against Hoffenheim.
They will hope to make full use of home advantage against Dortmund as they go in search of their first head-to-head win since October 2022.
Dortmund have produced a positive response to losing 5-1 in their most recent away match against Stuttgart. Nuri Şahin’s side fought back from two goals down to beat Bochum 4-2 in matchday five’s derby clash. Serhou Guirassy netted a brace alongside goals from Emre Can and Felix Nmecha to fire Dortmund to their third league win of the season.
Die Schwarzgelben went on to produce another free-scoring display in midweek, with Karim Adeyemi netting a hat-trick in a commanding Champions League win over Celtic. Guirassy also netted a brace, while Can and Nmecha grabbed a goal apiece to clinch a 7-1 home victory.
