Chelsea will play against Servette for Europa Conference League play-off tie

Chelsea have named six full debutants in their starting line-up to face Servette in tonight’s Europa Conference League play-off first leg.

Filip Jorgensen is in goal behind a defence featuring new signings Renato Veiga and Tosin Adarabioyo, who join Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile in a back four.

Moises Caicedo is partnered by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in midfield behind a front four that contains Pedro Neto on the wing and Marc Guiu up top.

Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk complete the starting XI and Enzo Maresca has a strong bench available for the first leg at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are without captain Reece James despite him being named in their squad list for the tie, as he is yet to recover from a hamstring injury.

“I said we try to win all the games that we play,” said Maresca ahead of the match. “The other day against [Manchester] City, the intention was not to not win the game, we tried to win the game.

“We were quite close to scoring many different times. Tomorrow is a game we are for sure going to try to win, hopefully we can win, and start tomorrow winning a game in the official competition.”
