Verona have lost nine of their last twelve matches

The giants from “Giuseppe Meazza” ended last season without trophies, and their generally successful coach, Simone Inzaghi, moved to the Middle East. Experiencing a series of setbacks during the 2025/2026 campaign (notably being knocked out of the playoffs right away by Bodo/Glimt), they eventually reached the cup final, where this week they beat Lazio 2-0 to claim a new trophy. In Serie A, they consistently held the top spot, including in April after a brief dip in form. Ultimately, by defeating Parma, they secured the “scudetto” ahead of schedule. Nevertheless, they went on to thrash Lazio after that.

Hellas managed to finish thirteenth with 37 points a year ago. But this season they have not come close to that mark, spending the entire campaign at the bottom of the table with dismal results. They recently picked up points against Lecce and even Juventus, but lost again to Como.

The newly crowned champions average 2.36 goals scored per match and concede just 0.86. For the hopeless underdogs, the picture is almost the opposite: 0.67 scored and 1.61 conceded per game.

Previous matches: Inter vs Verona

Since 2016, Hellas have only managed two draws against the Milan giants.

It’s unlikely the hosts will settle for a minimal victory in this matchup. Our bet is on them to win with a “-1.5 goals handicap” (odds – 1.60).
