Manchester City have won six of their last seven matches

The Manchester giants finished last season without trophies, taking only third place in the Premier League. This season also started poorly, including a hopeless defeat by Real Madrid in the Champions League. However, in the spring, City first beat Arsenal in the League Cup final, then defeated them again in the Premier League to catch up with them in the table. Yet, in the last round, they managed to drop points against Everton! The cup match against Southampton was tough as well, but by defeating the outsider, they reached the final.

The London club, after finishing tenth in 2025/2026, parted ways with their longtime coach Frank and their main stars. Nevertheless, they improved and have become real contenders for European competition. In the spring, however, all their matches ended in draws, and after one of them, against West Ham, they were eliminated from the cup on penalties. They still lost to Manchester United, but in the last round, they managed to beat West Ham.

The title contender scores an average of 2.03 goals per match, conceding 0.94. Their London opponents average 1.49 goals scored and 1.31 conceded per game.

Head-to-Head: Manchester City vs Brentford

In the last six meetings between the teams, Brentford have managed just one draw (early last year) and lost all the other games.

The favorite is obvious here and is unlikely to slip up again. However, the visitors are capable of causing problems—our prediction is “both teams to score” (odds: 1.65).
